Discovering the Chapter of the Cathedral of Florence

The Florentine Metropolitan Chapter, also known as the Chapter of the Cathedral of Florence, formerly the church of San Pietro in Ciel d'Oro, overlooks Piazza del Chapter, a few steps from the Cathedral of S. Maria del Fiore.

Visits, to learn about the history of one of the oldest institutions in our city, and "enjoy" its works of art, glimpses of life lived, anecdotes and curiosities about the re-discovery of our cultural identity are possible upon booking request to send to segreteria.capitolo@duomofirenze.it

It will be possible to come into contact with unthinkable treasures of a world that has never disappeared, still current and capable of exciting: among the objects on display, medieval manuscripts and parchments from the archive, singers' mallets, ancient instruments for secret voting, the curious branch of San Giovanni Gualberto, as well as other Florentine "bricciche".
